Where were you born?
I was born in High Barnet, North London.
What are your hobbies?
My Hobbies are –
Drama, swimming, reading, basketball and X-box.
Do you have any pets?
Yes, we have 3 dogs and a cat, they are called Toto Jon, Rocky Star, Jake Teddy and Indiana Jones, the dogs names Mum chose, though the cat is mine so I chose his name Indiana Jones.
Who are your favourite authors?
My favourite authors when I was in primary school were –
J.K. Rowling, Roald Dahl, Anthony Horowitz, David Walliams, Lemony Snicket, Suzanne Collins, Will Hill, Jeff Kinney and Chris Morphew. My favourite authors now are Linwood Barclay and Mark Haddon.
When did you know you wanted to write?
I honestly didn’t know that I wanted to write a book. I just enjoyed writing stories. It all happened by accident. Most evenings I would tap away at my I pad and save my work as I went along. I really enjoyed developing my ‘Little Dudes’ stories, so I showed Mum who told me to continue my work, as what I was writing was original and could help lots of kids. So when I had eventually finished she showed a few people who then showed an interest in my manuscript which then became a book!
Will you be writing more books?
Yes I will. My second book is out now, YAY! Check it out ‘The Chronicles of Derek Dunstable’
Your favourite thing about writing?
What I love about writing is that there is no end to it. Sounds odd, but you have so much freedom to express yourself and literally escape through your writing. You go into another world.
The worst part of writing?
The dreaded WRITERS BLOCK! Yes it happens and to me a lot, so I take a break and then go back to my manuscript.
Do you have any advice on how to write a story?
Yes just write, write, write your diary, your journal, a blog, a story. Just practice and then you’ll find that a story will start to develop. Oh yes and read lots and lots.
Finally your favourite food?
Pizza, ham baguette, fish n chips, Mums chicken in red wine sauce with creamy mashed potatoes, Dad’s pasta al sugo (he’s Italian and is a real good cook.) Hot dogs, love Ben & Jerrys Ice cream, not forgetting broccoli, apples and green grapes. My treat is milk chocolate! Yum yum.
Bye, gotta go as I’m now writing the next book in the series of ‘The Chronicles of Derek Dunstable’
